My name is Charlotte. I run a design studio in a small seaside town in Essex, England with my husband, Phil. He is a graphic designer and illustrator, notable for illustrating several children’s books to promote diversity in children’s literature. I am a web designer and developer, specialising in WordPress theme design and development for female clients. I love WordPress because it means my clients can manage their own sites, making any edits or changes they need to without having to pay or wait for me or anyone else for easy amendments for them.
We work alongside our over enthusiastic puppy, Peanut, and our two guinea pigs, Rigby and Marshmallow. When we’re not working, we spend our time walking Peanut along the seafront, binging Netflix and visiting Disney Parks around the world.
Whether you’re a brand new entrepreneur, looking to make an impact and break into your industry, or a seasoned pro looking to rebrand and realign yourselves, I would love to work with you.
I’ve been drawn to web coding and designing since I was old enough to understand what the internet was. It’s always amazed me that words and symbols can create such dynamic and engaging pages, sites and networks, and watching great structures take shape from my own code is still one of the most incredible things to me.
I feel extremely fortunate that I get to spend my days working on bringing websites and branding to life for other companies and businesses, helping them to achieve their goals and create their brand identity. It means I get to do something I love every day, as well as meeting some incredible and inspiring people. With our business we try to build long term relationships with our clients, with our dynamic evolving alongside our respective company’s needs.
I love being able to work with a fresh, start up business, helping them develop their visual identity and online presence, and watch them grow, expand and evolve. I also particularly love working with companies that are looking to rebrand, giving them a new identity and new website that better represents who they are and what they offer at this point in time. One of my specialties is actually fixing websites for clients – coming in when they’ve been left disheartened and disappointed by another designer, and giving them the site and branding that they really were hoping for.
Your brand, your online presence, is generally people’s first impression, so I know just how important it is to get it right. Being able to give my clients the website they dreamed of is priceless, and the reason that I put one hundred percent into all of my work.
